The General Director of Grekodom Development, Mr. Vladimir Papounidis, spoke about the past 2021, and also shared plans for 2022.
According to the results of 2021, Grekodom Development has proved its viability even in the difficult conditions that developed in the real estate market last year. The main task list has been completed. Unfinished projects have been carried over to 2022. The company has adjusted its policy by prioritizing investment projects on which it is working independently. The resources of Grekodom Development have been reallocated in accordance with this decision.
About Grekodom Development projects
One of the company's investment projects is a project in the village of Nikiti on the Halkidiki peninsula - Bomo Nikiti Apartments. The increased interest in new housing in the middle price category pushed us to implement several more projects in Greece. In 2022 we will continue to work on a project in Thessaloniki - Bomo Kapetan Agra Apartments.
The company plans to start new projects on the Chalkidiki peninsula - they will be designed for investors from other countries. One of them - a residential complex in Kalyves (Sithonia peninsula) - is already at the stage of development and obtaining construction permits.
Grekodom Development also paid attention to such a promising region as Perea. The company plans to build housing in the suburbs of Thessaloniki. Τhis area already has a special investment appeal and in the near future, interest in it will only grow, since it successfully combines urban amenities and tourist area features.
In 2022, Grekodom Development plans to start working on four new urban projects:
- in Athens - Bomo Sosou Apartments, Bomo Vouliagmeni Apartments and Bomo Koukaki Apartments
- in Thessaloniki - Bomo Vitsi Apartments
Up-to-date information on promising investment projects can be found in the company's news.
New directions
In order to increase its influence, the company plans to open a second office in Ukraine in 2022.
China is also not out of Grekodom Development's scope of attention. On the contrary, it is planned to intensify work in this area, since it is from there that a large number of investors come, interested in buying real estate under the Golden Visa program.
In 2021, there was an increased interest in luxury real estate on the Greek islands of Corfu and Crete. Grekodom Development company at the end of last year, already began working on attracting investors in these region and will continue so in the new year. Entering into contracts with sellers and recruiting new employees, Grekodom plans to open a second office on the island of Corfu.
Organizational tasks
Grekodom Development considers increasing competitiveness and manufacturability to be the most important future tasks. In particular, in 2022, the company plans to accelerate the purchase and sale procedure. Grekodom accompanies the client at every stage of the transaction, and reducing the time spent from choosing a property to signing a contract is beneficial for both parties. One of the ways to solve this issue is to strengthen remote work with the company's clients.
We are also working on speeding up the process of obtaining the residence permit for investors in Greece. The client has already the opportunity to submit an application electronically: on this issue, the government has provided a separate "window".
The absence of difficulties in registration contributes to the growth of interest in the "Golden Visa" investment program. By the end of 2021, 28,000 investors with their families had already received a residence permit in Greece.
In 2022, real estate in Greece has all the prerequisites to maintain its position as a reliable asset in the portfolio of investors from different countries.
