Greece experiences a tourism boom: guests prefer rental accommodation

The Greek tourism sector is thriving, showing a 24.5% increase in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
According to the Bank of Greece:
- The number of foreign tourists increased by nearly 25%.
- Tourism revenues reached €942 million, which is 28.2% more than in 2023.

- The main contributors to this growth were tourists preferring short-term rental accommodations.
- Domestic tourism also showed significant growth, accounting for 58.3% of total arrivals and 55.1% of total overnight stays.
