Thousands of Greeks paid heed to the Ministry of Culture’s 116 free events at archaeological sites and museums around the country for some mystical moon gazing from magical locations. Clear skies and summer stillness helped enhance the experience as thousands of people of all ages stared at the sky.
Young and old, armed with cameras, took photos of the moon, flooding social media with photos of starry skies and ancient marbles bathed in moonbeams.
Events are set to continue from August 19-21 extending the magic of the full moon.
