The Greek island of Milos has been selected as the top destination of the best five places to visit in 2017 by the leading travel stylist Maria Paradisis for the Australian edition of Vogue magazine.
The magazine listed the island which has over 70 beautiful beaches to soak up the sun and relax on as the top destination pick, particularly for those wanting to experience an undiscovered paradise saying that Milos “offers the feeling that you’ve landed on the moon thanks to its smooth limestone rock formation that makes up the impressive landscape.”
The volcanic island is located in the Cyclades in the south Aegean sea and besides its lunar-like landscaped beaches is perhaps most famous for the statue which was removed from the island in 1820 and now resides in the Louvre, known as “Venus de Milo.”
